FABA’s annual conference depends heavily on volunteers. Whatever your skills, preferences, and availability, we need and welcome your help. Some of the needs we have are:

Before the conference:

Social Media and online marketing
Information Technology assistance
Identifying and contacting potential sponsors
Writing grant requests
Logo and printed material graphic design  services
Managing coal sales
Picking up coal in GA (requires heavy duty vehicle!)
Building anvil stands
Cutting and bundling class stock
Inventorying teaching tent tools & supplies
Arranging loan of tools & equipment for demonstrators

At the conference:

Setting up on Thursday and Friday 
Tearing down on Sunday afternoon
Transporting equipment to and from the conference site
Picking up & dropping off demonstrators from the airport
Greeters/registration assistants
Blacksmithing instructors and assistant instructors
Supervisors for open forges area
Logging-in donations & submissions to the gallery, auction, and iron-in-the-hat
Selling tickets for Iron in the Hat
Gallery assistants (relief for gallery manager)
Auction assistants & spotters
Tool Crib manager
